Nomination Process
Alumni Faces of SSU applications for 2025 are closed.
Alumni Evaluation Criteria
Alumni nominees must be willing and interested in sharing their story and being a Face of SSU.
Alumni nominees are evaluated based on four key areas in comparison to the entire applicant pool:
Campus Involvement
Assesses the depth and breadth of the nominee’s involvement as a student, including leadership in campus governance, organizations, campus services, and/or academic departments.
Professional and/or Community Contributions
Evaluates the nominee’s positive impact in their professional field and/or community, recognizing efforts that benefit others.
SSU’s Impact on Their Journey
Measures how well the nominee articulates the role SSU played in shaping their life, career, relationships, and personal growth, including fond memories and transformative experiences.
Advice for Current/Future Students
Considers the relevance and insightfulness of the nominee’s advice for students navigating academic and professional paths, including shared experiences and guidance to be successful.
Employee Faces of SSU applications for 2025 are closed.
Employees include staff, faculty, or managers.
Employee Evaluation Criteria
- Nominees must be willing to share their story and be featured as a Face of SSU (nominees will be contacted directly to confirm interest).
- Nominees for 2025 Faces of SSU must be an active employee in Fall 2025.
- Nominees must be proactively contributing to enriching campus culture and a positive work environment through ways such as voluntarily serving on committees or in special capacities, creating and/or strengtheing internal partnerships, or regularly going above and beyond in supporting and serving students.
Student Faces of SSU applications for 2025 are closed.
Student Evaluation Criteria
- Student nominees must be active members of the SSU community in Fall 2025.
- Nominees must be willing and interested in sharing their story and being a Face of SSU.
- Nominees must be or have been involved on campus (club/organization, departments, campus job, etc.).
- Students must be in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) and in good conduct standing with the University.
