What is your favorite memory or experience at SSU?
One of my favorite experiences so far at SSU has been bringing back Greek Week. I loved being able to help facilitate this event, and see the three Greek Councils interact while making a positive impact! Having Greek unity is something important to me so seeing this pan out was super exciting and I can’t wait for it to continue growing over the years.
What made you choose SSU?
I chose SSU for a few reasons. The first being that I really like what the Kinesiology department has to offer in terms of classes and helping me further my career. I also liked the fact that there was a good sized Greek Life presence on campus since that was what I knew I wanted as part of my college experience. SSU also felt like a place I could belong the minute I stepped on campus for a tour in 2018.
What has been the most challenging part of your college experience and what did you learn from it?
The most challenging part of my college experience was adapting to college life with a disability. It was a big challenge for me to move away from home and handle my health on my own along with the responsibilities that come with being a college student. I learned a few things from this. I learned that it is okay to go at my own pace, and that it is okay to ask for help!
