How did you end up going into your current role or field and what do you enjoy most about the work you do?

After working in facilities for a few years the opportunity to apply for a manager position opened and I applied. This position offers the ability to engage in a  meaningful work culture of gratitude and recognition. I have the opportunity to make a difference with our colleagues, making employees feel valued through a supportive and positive work environment. 

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sonoma State community?

Our impact in a collaborative environment and supporting a team to make a difference.

What do you find most fulfilling about working in higher education?

The constant opportunity to learn new things and apply creative solutions to support employees which keeps my work engaging and challenging.

In what ways does your work make an impact on students, the campus or the broader campus community?

Our work impacts the campus community by maintaining a safe and sanitized environment for staff and students.
