Student Athlete and Project Censored.

How has Sonoma State made an impact in your life today?

SSU helped me become a student and not just an athlete. Working with Professor Carl Jensen on Project Censored helped me learn to decipher fact from fiction and helped me become a better communicator. Thanks to SSU, I continue to have a love of sports, but I also have learned to be a critical thinker, and to live my life learning as much as I can, and to challenge myself. 

What advice would you give to a current student or recent graduate?

Nothing beats hard work and perseverance. I was a first-generation college student, and SSU helped me fulfill my goals to play the sport I love and to begin my road to lifelong education.
